series, regions, from and join — the steps a node starts with.
series
Reads ARMID series into a table (columns listed in Data in the Lab).
wages:
series: { find: "average monthly nominal wages", place: Yerevan }
surface:
series: { layer: land_surface, area: AM01, from_date: "2024-06-01", months: [6, 7, 8] }
prices:
series: { keys: ["M.AM.IHB2Q7K3MZ4XA", "A.AM.I4DPLQ2W7XKRB"] }
Give one of find, layer, key or keys, or id or ids.
| Option | Meaning |
|---|---|
find | Words every matching series name contains (case does not matter). |
place | A place the series is about: Yerevan, a marz, a community. |
max_series | Raises the most series a find may match; more matches than that are an error asking to narrow the words. |
layer | A named layer. |
area | A layer’s area: AM (the country), AM01 (Yerevan) or AM-towns. |
level | A layer’s level: country, marz, district, community, town or cell. |
codes | Only these place codes. |
metrics | Which metrics of a multi-metric series become columns. |
key, keys | Series by their series key (FREQ.REF_AREA.INDICATOR), as the Data tab and the data API show it. |
id, ids | Series by ARMID id. |
months | Only observations in these months of the year (1–12). |
from_date, to_date | Only observations in this range (YYYY-MM-DD; since and until also work). |
as | The name of the value column instead of value. |
regions
Lists places: their code, name, level, marz and centre (lat,
lon); cells also carry district and community.
communities:
regions: { level: community }
yerevan_cells:
regions: { level: cell, area: AM01 }
| Option | Meaning |
|---|---|
level | marz, district, community or cell. |
area | For cells: AM (1 km, the default) or AM01 (300 m, Yerevan). |
from
Starts from another node’s table.
hot:
from: cells
filter: heat > 45
join
Joins nodes’ tables row by row on shared columns.
affordability:
join: [wages, price]
on: [year]
how: left
| Option | Meaning |
|---|---|
join | The nodes, in order: the first is the left table. As a mapping: nodes, or with to join onto the table so far. |
on | The columns rows match on. When left out: whichever of time, year, month and code both tables have. |
how | inner (default): only rows with a match. left: every left row, empty where there is no match. |
A right-hand column whose name the left table already has gets the right
node’s name as a suffix: value_price.
