Data in the Lab
What a workbook can read, and how staff and customers differ.
Workbooks read ARMID’s own data, never a named source:
- Series by words and place.
series: { find: "…", place: … }matches series whose names contain every word. - Layers.
series: { layer: … }reads a named grid or regional layer. See Layers. - Places.
regions:lists the marzes, districts, communities or grid cells of Armenia with their codes and centres.
There is no file upload and workbooks have no network access. If data you need is missing, ask Ridgital to add an ARMID collector for it.
Public data and staff data
| Caller | Reads |
|---|---|
| Customers | Published series and grid cells — what the ARMID data API serves. |
| Ridgital staff | Every series, published or not. |
| Artifacts for anyone with the link | Published series and grid cells only. |
Every series table
A series step returns these columns, in this order:
series_id, series, level, code, name, marz, district,
community, lat, lon, time, year, month, then one column per
dimension of the observations, then value — or one column per metric for
multi-metric series.
A dimension whose name clashes with one of those columns gets a dim_
prefix. A metric called lat or lon fills the place column.
Use select, rename and drop to keep
only the columns you need and give them your own names.
